Educational Requirements:

• Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Accounting.


Required Skills:

• Prior bookkeeping or payroll processing experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.


Preferred Skills:

• Ability to reconcile and balance cash transactions.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, detail-oriented, with ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work collaboratively across organizational units.
• Ability to meet critical deadlines on a daily basis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Prior bookkeeping or payroll processing experience.

Responsibilities:

• Process complex payroll data.
• Reconcile contributions to employer payroll file.
• Generate payroll reports for clients.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies or deficiencies in contribution processing.
• Process simple loan payment transactions.
• Calculate participant fees.
• Review client contribution calculations for accuracy.


Description:

PenServ is currently looking for an entry level Accountant for our Payroll Processing Department. This department specializes in processing client payrolls for various retirement plan types, including 401(k), 403(b), 457 and Balance Forward plans.
